Remarks & Notes
The world's steepest cogwheel railway, using the unique Locher system, the Pilatus Bahn from Alpnachstad to the Pilatus Kulm, changed the whole rolling stock for the season 2023. The railcars Bhe 1/2 of 1937, 1960 and 1967 were replaced by 8 new Bhe 2/2 # 41 to # 48 from StadlerRail and Calag, and a new service railcar Xhe 2/2 # 49. The diesel railcar Xhm 1/2 32 built 1982 is the only not replaced. Two of the Bhe 1/2 of 1937, # 22 and # 28, remain as historic vehicles, but they can no longer be used during the day due to the changed timetable, but only outside normal operating hours as extra trains. Two new Bhe 2/2 in multiple control are running up as part of train CC 29 over the bridge in the Eselwand above the Fleimen tunnel.
