After the derailment of a northbound freighttrain in the Gotthard Base Tunnel on august 10, with severe damage of the west bore, all passenger trains are rerouted over the Gotthard mountain line, now also called the panorama line. Highspeed train "Giruno" of the SBB, RABe 501 # 006 "Obwalden" and # 011 "Thurgau" in multiple control, forming a 404 meter long train, are running the EC 10315 from Zürich to Milan, on the uppermost level of the loops at Wassen on the Gotthard north ramp.
