Cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 9 of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) is beeing turned on the manualy operated turntable on Furka DFB on 2160 meter a.s.., on the occasion of the event 40 years association Furka Bergstrecke (Verein Furka Bergstrecke VFB 1983 to 2023) and 30 years operation Realp to Furka 1993 to 2023. The HG 3/4 # 9 pulled three extra trains this day from Realp to Furka and back. This type of locomotive, when running through with trains, has not to be turned, but can run down the mountain chimney first on the 11.0 % grade, due to the boiler construction.
