Remarks & Notes
At first sight, two identical vehicles of Thurbo can be seen here, so-called GTW (articulated railcars) RABe 526. About 20 years ago, Thurbo as well as Regionalverkehr Mittellland (RM) procured such low-floor trains from Stadler, which, however, showed many differences in detail. For example, those of Thurbo are about 1 meter longer and have a completely different interior design. The red 13 trains of the RM came to BLS through the merger, then were sold to SBB in 2013 and ran in the Jura from Biel. In 2018, they were sold to Thurbo and received its livery, so that today they can hardly be distinguished from each other at first glance. Here, however, several details are also different in the front view. On the left, RABe 526 # 282 ex RM can be seen as train 20970 of line S 29 from Stein am Rhein to Winterthur. Since the train is put away in Winterthur after arrival, "nicht einsteigen" (do not board) is written on the train destination indicator. On the right side, seen from behind, RABe 526 # 752 is running as 20667 of the S26 from Winterthur via Bauma to Rüti ZH, together with another vehicle of the same type. The trains are in the four-track section in the area of the Schwalmenacker service station, between Winterthur and Oberwinterthur respectively Winterthur Grüze.
