CNJ Over Dock. On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, NJ Transit's CNJ Heritage Unit, GP40PH-2 4109 (née CNJ 3677, EMD, 10/1968), made a rare appearance on the Raritan Valley Line, leading train 5445. The 13 GP40Ps were purchased for service on the Raritan Valley and North Jersey Coast Lines, so 55 years after delivery, the unit is just returning to its home rails, generally the domain of PL42s and ALP45-DPs. Dock Bridge spans the Passaic River, and is slated for rehabilitation as part of upgrades to rail transportation in this area.
