This scene is long gone, with a massive sky scraper built over this portion of the exit from the north platforms of Chicago Union Station. But 17 years ago, if one showed up in the longer days of the year, the sun would shine down the Chicago River from the east, and one could capture the nearly constant parade of trains coming and going from CUS, as well as Northwestern (Ogilvie) on the tracks on the bridge behind.
