| "Giruno" highspeed train RABe 501 # 025 "Canton du Genève" is leaving the Wattinger loop tunnel and crossing the lower Wattinger bridge over the Reuss, between Wassen and Gurtnellen, running the IC 10684 from Lugano via Lucerne to Basel. Since the derailment of the freigttrain 45016 in the west bore of the Base tunnel on august 10, with huge damage, all passenger trains are rerouted over the mountain line for several months. The east bore of the base tunnel is used for freight trains only since august 23. |
