On the morning of September 22nd, 2023, CDOT Extra 6709, consisting of back to back CTrail (CTDX) GE P40BH's 6709 & 6707, crawls past Westerly Station in Rhode Island while heading west down the NEC. These two locos are returning to New Haven, Connecticut after having just towed 10 MBB BTC/CTC-3 coaches to the MBTA in Boston. The railcars were on their way back to the MBTA in Boston, Massachusetts after serving a 5-year lease on the Hartford Line in the state of Connecticut.
