Grinding up the 3% grade on Cajon Pass' South Track, the original mainline and also the steeper of the two tracks, is an eastbound Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway freight with an impressive set of power on the headend: ATSF F45 5911, GP35 3403, GP35 3330, GP20 3071, C30-7 8110, another C30-7 and an SD26. (Cajon Pass, California – October 5, 1980)
