UP 1943 - Spirit of Union Pacific rolls through New Braunfels on the old International & Great Northern, nee Missouri Pacific, a line that was built in 1880. Here it is crossing San Antonio Street and passing the Missouri Pacific Depot, which has been preserved beautifully and operated by the New Braunfels Historical and Model Railroad Society for almost 40 years. In roughly 200 yards, it will slam the 120+ year old diamond of the primarily northbound Union Pacific line (formerly MKT, a line established in 1901).
