| During the summer months, the trains of the "Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke" normally run on the old line over the Furka. At the end of October 2023, when this line was already closed for the winter, a steam train was once again allowed to run the route over the Oberalp Pass from Realp to Disentis and back. The route over the Oberalp Pass used to be part of this steam locomotive's regular route. It was built in 1913 for the Brig-Furka-Disentis Railway and operated for the Furka-Oberalp Railway (FO) between Brig and Disentis until electrification in the 1940s. |
