With fluffy white clouds slowly drifting through the sky above and casting big shadows across the green landscape, the DPU of a south bound UP intermodal slowly pushes up through the Caliente canyon’s west entrance just outside of Caliente, CA. Seen in the middle portion of the image, drifting down into Caliente to meet the intermodal, is a UP north bound manifest that would end up stopping just inside the canyon to let a few intermodals behind over take it. One of those intermodals can be seen dropping down and into tunnel 5 at the upper right portion of the image.
