Former Amtrak F40PHR #231 at Nevada State Railroad Museum's locomotive shop in Boulder City, NV undergoing preparations for stripping the old red and orange paint scheme. A model painted up by the late John Magnusson, who took part in the effort to save the locomotive from scrap (twice!), is set near the work project. The locomotive is now on its way back to the Amtrak Phase III paint scheme!
