Remarks & Notes
Clipper on the Corridor. Amtrak geometry inspection car 10002, the "Corridor Clipper" is seen on the end of Northeast Regional train 171(28) at Newark Penn Station. The car, along with catenary inspection car 10005 behind it, periodically traverse Amtrak's property inspecting track and catenary geometry on the fly. No. 10005 was originally a Metroliner Metro Club car, ordered by the Pennsylvania Railroad and delivered as Penn Central 884 (designated MPP85E5 by the PRR, designated MG1A by PC). It is the last active Metro Club car of the 10 built.
