Union Pacific Railway GP40P-2 1375 first showed up in Anaheim in November 2021 with no graffiti upon it. Roughly two-and-a-half years later, it looks like this. Built by EMD in November 1974 as Southern Pacific GP40P-2 3199, this was the third of just three of these passenger locomotives built by EMD, all for the SP. After being removed from passenger service on the Bay Area commute trains, it was renumbered SP 7602, and later became property of the UP when that railroad acquired the once-mighty SP. Nearly fifty years later, and now dubbed a "GP40-2" by its owner, this is how it looks as it sits in the railway's West Anaheim Yard with UP GP60 1083, another former SP Geep, assigned to local freights.
