| Norfolk Southern's "Pennsylvania Railroad" heritage unit rolls east through Downtown Pittsburgh. The PRR’s impact on Pittsburgh was substantial, helping to drive the city’s growth and development through its transportation network. Even though the Pennsylvania Railroad as a corporate entity no longer exists, its historical significance continues to be felt in Pittsburgh and beyond.
