On July 6, 2024, a BNSF coal train rolls westbound over the curved causeway between Noxon and Heron, Montana. Many of Montana Rail Link’s 4300-series EMD SD70ACe locomotive can be seen operating on trains system wide, although MRL No. 4314 seen here, is running over an old home road Fourth Subdivision. These 4300s are not equipped with isolated cabs, so following BNSF rules, they are relegated to being trailing (or unoccupied) locomotive only.
