| The photographer Lewis Hine is known today as a man who worked toward reform for the working person. His photography highlighted the extreme conditions they worked in. What is less known is he did work "for the man." This included work for the Pennsylvania Railroad.
I like to think that this photo I took on 7-24-2009 of two SP No. 4449 mechanics working the almighty Alemite gun in Alma, MI is one where I paid homage to Hines. |
