Red, White, Blue, and Skyline. On the afternoon of Monday, December 2, 2024, Amtrak Train 235 was led by AMTK 87 (P42DC), the first time that a Phase VII painted unit has led a train on the Hudson Line. The GE P42s are becoming slightly more common these days as several Empire Service trains are double-ended to accommodate service pattern changes. The train is seen coming around the corner at Dobbs Ferry, New York on the Hudson River with tehe George Washington Bridge and the New York City skyline in the background.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
