Freeze (And Unfreeze) This Memory. CSX I158-22 was rolling through Mine Dock Park in Fort Montgomery, New York on a bright and cold day on Saturday, February 22, 2025, with CSXT 3367 (ET44AH) leading along the shore of the Hudson River. The freeze and thaws of previous days combined with the work of the U.S. Coast Guard keeping the river from freezing across has brought piles of sheets of ice to the sedge of the park. Before clean up work in the modern era, the river could not freeze across. But now the water is cleaner and can freeze, and so the work of cutters once again is required to allow maritime traffic to pass.
