To celebrate 150 years of the Nationalbahn, founded in 1875 and bankrupt a few years later already, there was a large railway event held in Etzwilen this day. The diesellocomotive Bm 4/4 II # 18451 of SBB Historic in Olten, built in 1939 by SLM, BBC and Sulzer as Am 4/4 # 1001 (together with sister # 1002) with 110 km/h maximum velocity and 611 kW, was the station shunter this day. This locomotive was used in earlier days on the never electrified SBB line between Etzwilen and Singen am Hohentwiel/Germany. In 1963 rebuilt by the SBB industrial works with change of transmission for 75 km/h maximum velocity and increased traction power. In 1989 declared historic locomotive.
