A trio of SD60Ms leads Clay Boswell coal empties into the sunset on a cold December evening. The second and third units sadly have been renumbered to the 81 series, and the lead unit is the former Desert Storm SD60M with its BNSF paint and number. Instead of proudly wearing the eagle paint scheme on its long hood, it's now one of the last BNSF SD60Ms that haven't been renumbered yet, this one for the second time since its BN days. On top of the renumbering process, this scene will likely soon be a thing of the past, as these SD60Ms which are currently based out of Glendive, MT, will soon be transferred to Corwith, IL, and replaced with SD70MACs. If anything is good about that, hopefully the MACs will be unpatched BNs!
