An ex Southern Pacific Tunnel Motor sits at the end of track just before the Vincent Thomas Bridge. The unit is on the Tosco Spur, where an engine can often be found waiting to push a string of cars out of the Yang Ming Facility. This old gal was first delivered to the Southern Pacific as #8550 in January 1979. For all the hard times most of these units have seen, the PHL keeps this one (and her sister, #50) in amazingly clean and good condition. Sadly, she's not long for the PHL.
