Remarks & Notes |
An 82 car Anchorage Sand and Gravel unit train rolls south off the Palmer Branch and onto the ARR mainline at MP 150.5 to begin its 45 mile journey to the unloading pit in South Anchorage. This train is the last revenue freight on the ARR to use a real live manned caboose in daily service. The fully functioning wide vision cab is of CN heritage. |
