Due to a derailment south of Guttenberg, IA this train is taking the long way to Mason City: IC&E from Kansas City to Chicago, CP from Chicago to LaCrescent, MN then south on the IC&E to Marquette, IA before heading west to Mason City. The train was parked at the Kains siding north of Lansing, IA during the early morning hours. The crew of the MSPKC parked their train at Kains and hopped on the feeder train for the ride to Marquette.
