Remarks & Notes
Two classic Budd RDCs stand at a precipice..both factually and figuratively. They are resting nearly 300 ft above the waters of Hurricane Creek far below as they sit atop the ARR's most famous engineering landmark. However, unbeknownst to them on this gorgeous late summer afternoon they were in the twilight of their careers in Alaska. A decision has been made to retire all four RDCs this winter and this scene will never again be able to be repeated. Hopefully these NYC and NYNH&H veterans will find good homes "on the outside" and be pulled back from the brink....
