| Two DX General Electric diesels (2050 kW each, U26C model) from 1976 are towing Mainline Steam's charter train over the 56 m high Broken River viaduct on the ascent to Arthur's Pass. The fence behind the train serves as windbreaker and is common on many of New Zealand's viaducts. |
