| Nevada Northern's Consolidation #93 runs light across the fill between the East Ely Yard and the Lackawanna Crossing on a February morning. Living in the Northeastern US, the heavy tree cover precludes getting many wide-angle shots of steamers in action. That's what keeps drawing me back to the high desert of Nevada....that chance for the elusive "steamscape". Although the weather and mechanical issues made this year's trip a challenge, I did get at least a small taste of what could be. |
