| Sidelined - Four MP15s sit on the ready track with stacks capped and fuel tanks marked "do not fuel." These four units' careers are over in Alaska and they are awaiting shipment to the lower 48 to their new owner, Broadway Rail and Equipment Company in Chicago. The 1551's second life in Alaska lasted nearly 17 years after emigrating here in 1992 from the Lake Erie, Franklin and Clarion when that little coal hauling pike went defunct. What will her third life bring? |
