A far cry from a GENSET! Looking back at this shot, I thought the name Brookville sounded familiar. It then occurred to me that this tiny 36" (note the 3rd rail) critter was manufactured by none other than a modern day GENSET producer. Despite the famous items in the RR Museum of PA such as the GG-1's and big PRR steam, it's sometimes the rusted out obscurities that I find most interesting. Brookville built this unit for the Lonestar Cement Co. in 1951 and it was given to the museum in 1997. Behind it is some sort of side-rod-equipped standard gauge Vulcan critter.
