| I'm working in Ankara for a few days and I managed to get to the TCDD Open Air Loco Museum just before it closed. This beauty was built in 1948 by The Vulcan Iron Work Wilkes-Barre USA. One of 73 of the class, it worked on Turkish Railways until 1987. There are about a dozen great steam locos plinthed in this park, but although the gardens are extremely well kept, nothing seems to be being done with the engines and they are slowly deteriorating in the open air. |
