Remarks & Notes
Three GP40-2s (3002, 3012, 3008) each wearing a unique paint scheme in descending order from most recent to most vintage lead a work train south along Turnagain Arm on a cold blustery Saturday. The lead unit wears the to the sophisticated scheme of today debuted in the 1990s on the SD70MACs and now the ARR's standard, while the second is adorned in the bold blue and yellow of 1980s and State ownership, and the third is dressed in the austere black and gold of the mid 1970s Federal days.
