A real Heritage unit Untouched Chicago & Northwestern GP9 4556 still operates in daily service for the Hartwell Railroad in Northeast GA, far from its midwestern homeland. The conductors side numberboard is not what it seems to be, after seeing a friends shot of the unit missing its left side board, i decided something needed to be done and created my own out of a sheet of styrofoam and four pieces of paper with a number printed on each. Remarkably, after a little on site cutting it fit perfectly and greatly improved the look of the unit. C&NW purists please excuse the incorrect font, it was a last minute rush job.
