Remarks & Notes

Sitting among the detritus of Conrail's Elizabethport Shops area back in 1982 were these two E8s being used at parts sources. Penn Central E8(A) #4321 was delivered to the New York Central as their #4070 in July of 1953. Amazingly, even though it was being canabilized here, it survived. Reportedly it spent some time in Logansport IN and is presently at Bellevue, OH.
