At last light, Southern Pacific "Daylight" GS-4 4-8-4 4449 and her train speed through California's verdent Central Valley as the train approaches Fresno, where it will lay-over for the night before heading to Los Angeles the next day. Former Great Northern observation car 1290 "Appekunny Mountain" brings up the markers on this fine looking train, dubbed the "World's Fair Daylight".
