| A peak inside the ARR's heavy repair back shop on a Saturday afternoon finds two 1976 vintage bought new GP40-2s in for some upgrades. The 3011 wears the ARR's current scheme wile the 3006 peaking through in the background wears her as delivered colors from the days of federal ownership. The ARR's well equipped facilities and talented labor force are largely self sufficient and do a remarkable job keeping the railroad's fleet out on the road serving the great State of Alaska. |
