FerroExpreso Pampeano S.A.'s GR12W #6588 moves a cut of tank cars loaded with vegetable oil bound to the riverfront mills at Avellaneda. EMD built the 1.430 HP unit in 1962. #6588 was the first to receive FEPSA's corporate paint scheme of red and maroon rooftops, with the once-only application of the spelled railroad initials in big black and white letters and pilots in yellow and black stripes. Later units got a smaller logo with the spelled railroad name and red and white stripes in the ends and pilots. While #6588 moves the tank cars, in the background a seven-coach consist of Japanese-built electric MU's passes with his load of mid-morning commuters.
