Southern (Interstate) RS-3 #34 working far from its coalfield roots at Winston Salem, NC in Nov. 1969. In the mid 60s this engine was painted into Southern's black scheme but retained its original number and roadname for the rest of its career. It was wrecked in 1973 and was traded to EMD.
