Top of the Ladder. A Wiscasset Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum passenger train crests the steepest hill on the line, known as "The Ladder", as she runs southbound toward Sheepscot Station. The museum's trackage follows the original route of the WW&F Railway, with the volunteer crew gradually clearing the right-of-way, replacing track and restoring infrastructure. The museum's goal is to some day restore the line all the way from Sheepscot north to Head Tide.
