| It's bright and early in the morning of May 13, 1988 and Conrail train WHTA-01 had gone to work in Tamaqua, PA. After firing up MP15 No. 9625 and shifting a few cars in the small yard, the crew heads off caboose light to work the nearby Reading Anthracite colliery. WHTA-01 handled the local work in the Tamaqua area and rated just one unit. The former EL caboose seems just a little out of place deep in the former Reading coal fields. |
