English Electric #5777, a 1.000 HP unit built in EE's Robert Stephenson Shops back in 1959, rested in the late-Winter afternoon sun at General Belgrano Railroad's Tapiales Diesel Shop. Springtime was only days ahead, but for the British units it was the twilight of their careers, since almost all the members of the class would be either retired or scrapped in the following year.
