| Although action was fairly heavy all day at Grand Crossing the evening always seemed to be busiest. In short order on the Milwaukee side westbound you could see Amt. 7, the Milw. Ford train(think it was 203), and a Patrol that would arrive and tie up in the yard. The CNW Adams-Winona job would also pass through on the Milw. somewhere in this time slot. On the BN normal evening trains were a manifest(103 sticks in my head) along with hotshots 3 and 13. A very busy hour or so. Right behind Amt 7 on this late May evening comes Milw. 29, 26 passing Grand Crossing with 72 cars of traffic mainly headed to the DWP. |
