| Southern's leased (from the Kentucky Railway Museum) ex-C&O Kanawha 2716 blasts a column of smoke worthy of Mount Vesuvius as she works up the 1.7 percent grade from Natural Tunnel to Sunbright. I was fortunate to be in the 2716's cab this day, but my good friend David DeVault was trackage with camera to record this splendid view. Yes--the experience of riding this marvelous engine was exhilarating. |
