Bathed in warm light on a snowless December afternoon, a Rio Grande eastbound manifest ducks under the now demolished Center Street viaduct just west of Provo. The rickety old track at right is the former Salt Lake & Utah Railroad belt line, purchased by the D&RGW in the late 1940s, becoming the 6.6 mile Orem Branch.
