BNSF Railway train M-BELBAR1-05A (Regular Merchandise; Belen NM to Barstow CA) has an interesting set of power as it rolls through the Mojave Desert: A trio of ES44C4 diesels (6936, 6982 and 6961) along with TEBC6 259 (ex-BNSF SD9 1820, ex-BNSF SD9 6298, ex-BN SD9 6298, ex-BN SD9 6225, née-C&S SD9 829) and SD38-3P 1554 (ex-BNSF SD38P 1804, ex-BNSF SD38P 6264, ex-BN SD38P 6264, ex-VMV SD35 2600, ex-NS SD35 3096, née-SOU SD35 3096). Those last two locomotives are rarities in California. (Amboy, California – November 6, 2012)
