Remarks & Notes
HT-C Truck
Debuting in 1972 on the Dash 2 line of locomotives created by EMD, the HT-C truck was revolutionary for the fact that it was the first truck that allowed EMD to place all three traction motors in the same direction which helped improve weight balance on the axles during high tractive effort. This truck also offered adhesion improvements of 10-20% compared to its predecessor model, the conventional SD flexicoil truck. The HT-C is easily identifiable by its center axle shock absorber and 6 stress relieving holes cast into each side frame. For more information on the HT-C truck, click here.

Pace and pan shots of trains from on the ground or in the air. If you're not in the locomotive cab or on-board the train, it's the next best thing to being there.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
