Remarks & Notes
BNSF's daily Denver to Provo trackage rights manifest train rolls downgrade along the Colorado River through Byers Canyon. This location is just a couple of miles west of the town of Hot Sulphur Springs along US40. Several highway pull-outs allow easy photography but few trains and deep canyon shadows make it challenging. The railroad here is protected by near continuous slide fencing. This is Union Pacific's Moffat Tunnel Sub. trackage and is ex. D&RGW.
