Pretty nasty weather to start this morning, not very favorable for pictures with gray and dreary dominating the scene. I decided to take my son and head out to see if we could catch C28 after a heads up that 5406 was leading. After about an hour waiting at Emsworth....The radio lit up with Conway control telling MOW that there was a Van train coming then C28 behind him. The weather started to break......The sun was out, the sky was blue.....22W rolls by on one, then the detector at 12 went off..."track 3 no defects"... it was C28, they were coming. He was almost upon us, the sun was still shining. Headlights and blue paint came into view. A real heritage unit was upon us, the train passed and soon the clouds came back. The day was again gray and dreary.
