Remarks & Notes
Homemade
Designed and built by the quality UP Employees at the railroad's DeSoto Shops in Missouri, the UP AutoFlex holds 15 patents and is the only auto rack that can be adjusted to the customer's needs; that is, it can be used as either a bi-level or tri-level rack. This is truly one convertible railcar used by the industry that created convertibles. UP has built over 300 of these cars with this particular one having a built date of Jan. 2013. Externally this auto rack resembles the new racks being built by National Steel Car in Canada.

Do you ever get the feeling as a model railroader, that you just might be creating something not "prototypical?" Same here.
