Remarks & Notes
For the first time since they debuted in 2011, a Heritage Unit has led the Auto Train. Amtrak 52 rolls north up 3 track at Greendale Interlocking, Richmond VA, with Phase 4 Heritage unit 184 in the lead. During 52's trip north, one of the two P40's in the consist died, which led to the 184 being taken off the point of train 98 and onto the lead of train 52 in Jacksonville FL.

Amtrak's longest train takes passengers and their vehicles on an overnight trip between Florida and the Northeast while eliminating 850 miles of driving. It is popular with snowbirds and families.
